Our corporate Homewood Suites has a fan page on Facebook and I was surprised to see it filled with such great topics!  As we draw nearer to our opening date I want to provide as much information as I can to make our sites as valuable to those traveling into Lafayette as well as our local crowd.  The Homewood Suites group seems to capulate this information and feeling in an outstanding fashoin through Facebook!

Our corporate Facebook started back in 2009 and has grown to 3733 fans.  We are proud to be part of the Homewood Suites team and the niche we fill.  Extended stay is a growing market and we find everyone, from business travelers, families or groups want to be able to stretch out when they travel.  And if your going to stay for a few days our kitchenettes add a whole other level of convienence to our travelers.

Our Frames Become a Homewood

I am constantly amazed at how fast our Lafayette hotel is coming together. The fourth floor is almost complete. All of the carpet had been laid and they are working on finishing the wood flooring. The carpet is being laid on the third floor and the wall paper is going up. All of the painting is done on the second floor and the sheetrock is hung on the first floor.

Take this pictorial walk through our hotel as it all comes together.

The Lafayette Meeting Room.  Our full panel windows will allow tons of natural light in to lift your meeting particianpants spirits.

Our lobby fireplace is coming along well.  Picture yourself waiting for friends with our fire keeping you company on a chilly day.

Our front desk area is still a little ways away before we check in our first guest, but our construction crew seems happy!

Carpet is in all the rooms!

Our General Manager, Ken shows you how roomy our showers are.  Also it’s hard to wash your hair while wearing a hard hat.

Dishwashers are in!  Stove tops are next.

Sheetrock is up.  This has been a long process and is coming to a close soon!

Here’s a view from one of our rooms.

This framework will become our sports court shortly.  Imagine yourself or kids playing basketball or volleyball here.  Family fun for all ages!

Here’s where the pool, sports court and gazebo with BBQ will be.  Play a game swim a lap and enjoy lunch.  There won’t be a better place to take all of this in anywhere in Lafayette!  Join us in July to see the finished hotel!!
